Accommodation on Lizard seamlessly blends indoors and out in an elegant open plan design - the essence of stylish Australian beachside living. All rooms feature air conditioning, CD player, fully stocked mini bar, iron/ironing board, ceiling fans, aroma-therapy oil burner, tea and coffee making facilities, private deck, bathrobes, hairdryer, modem access and evening turndown service.

The Pavilion (1) - Perched high above the Coral Sea and set on the point of Sunset Ridge, The Pavilion combines complete privacy with a spectacular 270 degree panorama of Anchor Bay, Osprey Island and Sunset Beach. An expansive decking area incorporates a private plunge pool, sunlounges and a daybed area.

Leaving the balcony to stroll down a private path, guests will discover another secluded area where chairs and a table have been perfectly positioned. Inside, the Pavilion offers every comfort. Bollinger and a deluxe fruit bowl greet guests on arrival. A laptop computer for downloading and sending emails and high powered binoculars are among some of the special features.

Sunset Point Villas (15) - Sunset Point Villas are set high on Sunset Ridge, providing filtered sea views over Anchor Bay or Sunset Beach. Each Villa has a private deck with comfortable timber squatter chairs and a hammock. Inside, the mix of colours and textures creates a calm retreat with the surrounding coastal bushland the inspiration for the understated and elegant design.

Anchor Bay Suites (18) - Set in a broad sweeping arc along Anchor Bay, with easy access to the main Lodge, Anchor Bay Suites offer captivating sea views and each has a pathway leading directly to the beach. Seamlessly blending indoors and out in an elegant and spacious open plan design, a large verandah with daybed is one of the many designer comforts.

Anchor Bay Rooms (6) - Located in a tropical garden setting with easy access to Anchor Bay and the beach, Anchor Bay Rooms have a private balcony with hammock. Interiors are compact but comfortable. Family Rooms offer two separate sleeping areas.

Fishing and Diving from Lizard Island Diving - Set right on the Great Barrier Reef and boasting its own beautiful fringing reefs, Lizard Island has the advantage of being able to offer divers both half and full day reef experiences. Lizard's purpose-built dive boat, the MV Serranidae (the latin name for "Grouper" - the Potato Cod is part of the Grouper family) operates full day excursions to stunning inner and outer reef dive sites, including the world famous Cod Hole, renowned for its huge, but friendly, Potato Cod.

Fishing - The waters surrounding Lizard Island boast some of the most exciting fishing in the world. Pre-booking is desirable, particularly during the popular Marlin fishing season (August to December). From August to December each year, Black Marlin, some weighing a massive 1,000 pounds are caught here. In fact, due to our tag and release policy operating for the past ten years, your chances of catching a legendary ‘GRANDER’ in these waters are probably better than anywhere else on earth! Whether you’re a seasoned big game fisherman, or it’s your first time in the chair, your Captain and crew will make your day an experience you will never forget.

Lizard Island Charter Vessel - MV Fascination

Voyages Australian Marine Experience operates the luxury vessel, 'Fascination' exclusively from Lizard Island, providing our guests with local knowledge and experience that is second to none. A 51ft Riviera Platinum Model Flybridge Cruiser, 'Fascination' has a cruise speed of 20 knots and can take up to 10 passengers (including crew). Based at Lizard Island all year round, 'Fascination' is available for private fishing or diving and snorkelling charters.

Transfers
Hinterland Aviation operate the connecting flight between Cairns and Lizard Island. Hinterland Aviation will also be servicing Dunk Island and Bedarra Island.

Location
Located 240 kilometres north of Cairns and 27 kilometres off the coast of North Queensland. It is a National Park covering 1,013 hectares with 24 sandy beaches and a lagoon.
