Thala Beach Lodge - a window into an ancient past, is a privately owned five star nature resort, situated 38 kilometres North of the city of Cairns and 16 kilometres South of the village of Port Douglas. Timber bungalows built on high poles are scattered amongst a hundred and forty five acres of wooded headland and secluded beaches. Thala Beach Lodge Transfers and Location
Thala Beach Lodge is situated just 40km (35 minutes) north of Cairns International Airport via the scenic Captain Cook Highway, or 15 minutes by helicopter to the Lodge's helipad. The resort's 12 seat coaches provide airport transfers (fee applies) with prior notice. A regular bus service operates between Cairns city/airport and Port Douglas calling by Thala Beach Lodge. Port Douglas is just 15km (10 minutes) north of the Lodge.
