Kuniya Restaurant - Ayers Rock Resort's premiere dining venue, offers an elegant, fine dining experience in a beautiful setting. Situated at the five-star Sails in the Desert Hotel, Kuniya incorporates a blend of traditional and contemporary ingredients, letting the guest experience the tastes of indigenous foods within a sophisticated and varied menu. The restaurant's wine list reflects its Australian heritage and the service is both discerning and personalised. Kuniya is open each evening from 6.30pm.

Whitegums Restaurant - Desert Gardens Hotel is home to the popular Whitegums Restaurant which offers both a sumptuous buffet-style option and a delicious á la carte flamegrill menu. The restaurant's open and relaxed setting offers great vegetarian and Northern Territory delicacies. The à la carte restaurant is open for dinner from 6.00pm. The buffet is open for breakfast and dinner from 6.00am to 10.30am and 6.00pm to 10.00pm respectively.

Tali Wiru - Catering for only a maximum 20 guests Tali Wiru is a unique experience like no other and is ideal for those clients looking for an intimate dining experience under the outback Sky. 'Tali Wiru', meaning beautiful dune in local Anangu language, encapsulates the magic of fine dining under the Southern Desert sky. Instead of walls, this open-air restaurant has magnificent views of Uluru and the distant domes of Kata Tjuta, and for music there's the stillness of the desert at night and the classic sounds of the didgeridoo. Relax with Champagne and canapés around a firepit while you watch the sun set. As day turns to night, stroll to the top of the dune for a table d'hote four-course dinner, matched with premium Australian wines. The contrast between the spectacular natural setting and the world-class gastronomic adventure on your plate is simply awe-inspiring. Tali Wiru is so much more than a dining experience; it's a night you will remember for the rest of your life. Sounds of Silence - dining experience is a must do for all visitors to Ayers Rock Resort. Entered into the Australian Tourism Hall of Fame, Sounds of Silence is a truly unique outback experience - this is the best of the Red Centre distilled into four magic hours. A special location is chosen and guests are escorted shortly before sundown in the desert. A didgeridoo echoes across the magical landscape as diners enjoy their canapés. Witness the spectacular sunset and feast on Northern Territory delights, including barramundi, kangaroo, emu, crocodile, bush salads, and classic Australian deserts.

Helicopter Flight - one of the best ways to explore the Red Centre and experience magnificent views of Uluru (Ayers Rock) is from the air on a helicopter flight. Enjoy a scenic flight by helicopter and take in the awesome spectacle of the huge monolith as you fly around Ayers Rock (Uluru). You will be able to take photos that you will treasure forever. The flight time is approximately 12-15 minutes. Includes free air-conditioned bus transfers to and from Ayers Rock Resort and informative pilot commentary (different languages also available).

Harley Davidson Ride - imagine seeing the magnificence of Uluru (Ayers Rock) for the first time from the back of a late model Heritage Softail Harley Davidson. Cave Hill - in a unique partnership between Odyssey Tours and Safaris and Desert Tracks, you can experience an intimate 4x4 tour visiting Cave Hill. For thousands of years the Traditional Owners of Cave Hill have nurtured a deep and spiritual bond with their land. Travelling from Ayers Rock Resort in a custom-built luxury 4WD, through the Central Australian Desert and across the border into South Australia, this unique journey will introduce you to an ancient chapter of the Seven Sisters creation story.

Camel Tour - either Camel to Sunrise or Camel to Sunset available. Another great way to explore the great Central Australian desert is from the back of a camel. Travelling through the desert at a slow relaxed pace with a guide pointing out wildlife and plant life, telling anecdotal stories of life in this region and all the while with the most breathtaking view of Uluru (Ayers Rock)! Frontier Camel tours offer a number of tours through this area including sunrise and sunset tours, and the new 'wagon' tour for guests who may not be inclined to climb atop a camel but still want to experience their oddly graceful manner and unique character.

How to get to Uluru
Travellers can fly direct to Ayers Rock or to Alice Springs. Both destinations are about three hour's flight from Sydney and Cairns, or two hours flight from Darwin.

• Uluru to Cairns - 1786km
• Uluru to Sydney - 2174km
• Uluru to Alice Springs - 465km (a one-hour flight or 4.5 hours driving on sealed road).
• Uluru to Kings Canyon - 306km (about 3½ hours drive from either Ayers Rock Resort or Alice Springs)

Complimentary coach transfers from Ayers Rock (Conellan) Airport to Ayers Rock Resort for all guests. A complimentary shuttle bus service is also available for transport within the Resort.
