Tour available in either land plane or float plane
Take in all the spectacular local scenery in thirty five minutes. Taking off
from Kununurra we fly over Lake Kununurra, Packsaddle Irrigation Area,
Carr-Boyd Ranges, Spillway Creek, continuing on to the magnificent expanse
of Lake Argyle for a birds eye view of the Argyle Dam Wall. Return to
Kununurra via the Diversion Dam Wall and the southern section of Ivanhoe
Plains Irrigation Area. (Waterfalls in Carr-Boyd ranges during the Wet
Season.)

Departs from our jetty on the shores of Kona Caravan Park (amphibious aircraft depart from Kununurra Airport with a landing on Lake Kununurra or Lake Argyle depending on weather conditions).

You'll be amazed at what you will see and learn in this two hour low level flight, from the irrigation and farming areas, the vastness of Lake Argyle, Dam walls, Homesteads/Ranches, mineral exploration sites, rivers, massive water moving creeks and waterfalls(wet season), the largest Diamond mine in the world, and not to forget the star of the tour... Combine the adventure of a Tour 4 Bungle Bungles Scenic Flight with the added experience of the renowned BBQ Boat Dinner Cruise. The two tours also don’t need to be taken on the same day so you can work them around your own schedule!
On your nominated evening, you will be transferred from your accommodation to Lily Creek Lagoon for the departure of this 12 metre double storey vessel. Enjoy pre-meal nibbles and majestic scenery as you cruise towards a glorious Kimberley sunset on the Ord River.
And whats for dinner? Marinated Scotch fillet steak, American spare ribs, Thai chicken wings, minted lamb chops, beef and veggie rissoles and sausages, potato salad, coleslaw, “Fruits of the Ord” melon bowl and all condiments! And yes you are more than welcome to come back for seconds! BYO Alcohol and softdrinks – there is a large esky on board and all glasses and bottle openers are provided.

| Tour 42K - Bungles Scenic Flight and Ord River Irrigation Tour |

Combine your Tour 4 Bungles Scenic Flight with a highly informative three hour ground tour of the Ord River Irrigation Area. These two tours need not be taken on the same day. Your will be picked up from your accommodation and then proceed to the Diversion Dam for a detailed history of the O.R.I.A. Next stop is Kelly’s Knob for a Panoramic view of the Ord Valley. From there, you will travel through the irrigation area, learning all about the large variety of crops grown here. Following a short trip to the Frank Wise Institute of Tropical Agronomy, it’s on to scenic Ivanhoe Crossing. From there, you will return to town via Barra Barra Farm for morning tea, fresh fruit smoothies and other local delights (not included in tour cost).

This tour encompasses 4 local tours. Depart Lake Kununurra by floatplane on
your Bungles Scenic Flight dropping off at Lake Argyle at 8.00am, where you
will be met at the boat ramp and transferred to the Lake Argyle Inn for
breakfast (not included in tour cost). At 9.20am, you will visit the Argyle
Homestead Museum before being dropped back at the boat ramp for your 10.00am
'Morning Magic Cruise'. The cruise takes two hours and covers over 50kms of
Lake Argyle, after which it is back to the Inn for lunch (not included in
tour cost). At 1.30pm you will be picked up for your Triple J cruise along
the Ord River arriving back in Kununurra with the sunset at 5.30pm.
Included: Bungles scenic flight, morning and afternoon tea.
Options: Landplane - coach transfer to Lake Argyle for morning cruise.
