Experiences not to be missed
These should be pre-booked along with your accommodation package to avoid
disappointment - as they do get quite heavily booked.
Sounds of Silence - dining experience is a must do for
all visitors to Ayers Rock Resort. Entered into the Australian Tourism Hall
of Fame, Sounds of Silence is a truly unique outback experience - this is
the best of the Red Centre distilled into four magic hours. A special
location is chosen and guests are escorted shortly before sundown in the
desert. A didgeridoo echoes across the magical landscape as diners enjoy
their canapés. Witness the spectacular sunset and feast on Northern
Territory delights, including barramundi, kangaroo, emu, crocodile, bush
salads, and classic Australian deserts.

|
Helicopter Flight - one of the best ways to explore
the Red Centre and experience magnificent views of Uluru (Ayers Rock) is
from the air on a helicopter flight. Enjoy a scenic flight by helicopter
and take in the awesome spectacle of the huge monolith as you fly around
Ayers Rock (Uluru). You will be able to take photos that you will treasure
forever. The flight time is approximately 12-15 minutes. Includes free
air-conditioned bus transfers to and from Ayers Rock Resort and informative
pilot commentary (different languages also available).

|
Harley Davidson Ride - imagine seeing the magnificence of
Uluru (Ayers Rock) for the first time from the back of a late model Heritage
Softail Harley Davidson. Feel the freedom and exhilaration that only this
type of touring can generate as you absorb the atmosphere and sense of
wonder that is the Red Centre with one of the Uluru Motorcycle Tours expert
riders. Tours operate throughout the day and include Sunrise and Sunset
tours out to Uluru (Ayers Rock) and/or Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Bookings:

|
Mt Connor Safari - the third of the great monoliths, is
100 kilometres east of Uluru and on the western fringe of the vast cattle
station, Curtin Springs. As the tour follows the stations 4wd tracks, you
will discover vast salt lakes that are remnants of ancient inland oceans,
examine fossilized remains of the oldest life forms on earth, but best of
all, experience Australia's rugged outback.

|
Desert Awakenings - travel off the beaten path before
sunrise by 4WD, away from other groups, to an exclusive and beautiful
location with magnificent views across the desert to Uluru and Kata Tjuta.
This special adventure is an experiential tour designed to give a small,
exclusive group the chance to gain genuine insight into this remote and
beautiful region. You'll set out just before sunrise. The morning stars are
out as the billy boils and you settle atop your sand dune. All that
surrounds you inspires, and the tranquillity of silence lies over
everything.
|
|
Cave Hill - in a unique partnership between Odyssey
Tours and Safaris and Desert Tracks, you can experience an intimate 4x4 tour
visiting Cave Hill. For thousands of years the Traditional Owners of Cave
Hill have nurtured a deep and spiritual bond with their land. Travelling
from Ayers Rock Resort in a custom-built luxury 4WD, through the Central
Australian Desert and across the border into South Australia, this unique
journey will introduce you to an ancient chapter of the Seven Sisters
creation story.

|
Camel Tour - either Camel to Sunrise or Camel to
Sunset available. Another great way to explore the great Central Australian
desert is from the back of a camel. Travelling through the desert at a slow
relaxed pace with a guide pointing out wildlife and plant life, telling

breathtaking view of Uluru (Ayers Rock)! Frontier Camel tours offer a
number of tours through this area including sunrise and sunset tours, and
the new 'wagon' tour for guests who may not be inclined to climb atop a
