We love the idea of children travelling, exploring and discovering the wonders of the amazing regions we visit. This type of learning can not be replicated in a school room! However, not all of our styles of touring with Connections are suitable for everyone.
Northern Territory and Kangaroo Island
(previously Sahara Adventures and Billy Can Tours)
Children 6 years of age and over are permitted to travel with our Discovery and Safaris trips throughout the Northern Territory and Kangaroo Island. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Child rates apply to passengers aged 6-14 years and are 20% off the normal adult fare. Please ask us for more information.
When travelling in the Northern Territory, the touring in these regions is often remote; hikes can be strenuous and long (up to 4hrs), and facilities are limited. The distances covered can reach up to 500kms, which means that your children will be in the vehicle for up to 6 hours. We recommend you come prepared with Game Boys, books, travel games, ipods and maybe some extra snacks to keep the children happy and comfortable. Also be aware that when travelling in the desert, temperatures can be extreme and to pack clothing that is appropriate to these climates. Sunscreen, hat, long sleeve clothing and insect repellent is all highly advisable to ensure maximum enjoyment when travelling
