Meals / Allergies
We have a great menu for you, however we do need to be informed at Check-in if you have special dietary requirements. If you have any medical conditions/food allergies please advise at booking and again at Check-in.

Is there any water on the boat?
Yes, but we recommend you bring some cash to purchase bottled water if it is sold on board. Some vessels sell bottled water at check in. It’s refreshing, tastes better than the town water we fi ll our tanks with and can be chilled on board. Remember to drink at least 2 litres of water per person per day!

Do I need to bring my own drinks?
Most Oz Adventure Sailing yachts are BYO (Bring your own) alcohol, soft drinks, spring water, juice and chocolates. In some cases our vessels have a licenced bar on board which sell alcoholic and soft drinks at very reasonable prices and it is a legal requirement that alcohol is not brought on board by guests. At publishing these vessels include Defender, Derwent Hunter and Kiana.

Do I need a sleeping bag?
No, fresh linen is provided on all Oz Adventure Sailing cruises and some vessels even provide bathroom towels. Check in will let you know if your vessel does. Blankets are available in the cooler months.

Can I have my own cabin?
Yes you can have your own cabin, just look for one of our vessels with this option, some with their own private facilities.

Can I smoke cigarettes on the boat?
Up on deck only!! Make sure you dispose of your butts sensibly – please respect our wonderful environment and the comfort of other guests on the vessel.

Island Resort Stopovers
If the weather is very poor, the skipper may decide to use an island resort for a stopover. There are different rules and dress regulations for every island resort.

Camping or Kayak Options
Some of our vessels offer seasonal sleep ashore accommodation in private 2 person tents. This opportunity is unique to Oz Adventure Sailing. Passengers who book this option participate in all the daily activities but at night enjoy the privacy of sleeping ashore at our secluded island camping locations. Our Sail and Dive vessel ‘Summertime’ has a kayaking option, an exciting new way to interact with the Whitsunday marine life.

Where should I checkin?
Guests should check into Oz Adventure Sailing's reservations office - located at 293 Shute Harbour Road on the day or morning prior to departure. At checkin guests will receive a pre-departure brief as well as complete any last minute financial or record keeping tasks.
