What is a Maxi? - A true Maxi was designed and built purely as a racing machine. They cost millions of dollars and Maxi yachts are 22 metres and over in length. The Cruise - Regardless of your choice of yacht from ProSail’s Maxi fleet you will be taken on an unforgettable sailing adventure. You can participate in sailing, snorkel over coral reefs, scuba dive (optional), swim, bushwalk and visit the icons of the Whitsundays such as Whitehaven Beach. Maxi yachts encourage socialising and lots of action and are geared towards guests seeking an exciting and truly unique collection of experiences.

Condor - 2 Days / 2 Nights

Condor is perhaps the most famous Maxi yacht in history, having won every major ocean race in the world twice! Condor is the only yacht to achieve this distinction. These races include such highlights as the Sydney to Hobart, Fastnet, Bermuda Cup, World Maxi Championship, Porto Cervo Maxi Series and Antigua Race Week just to name a few. Condor is 23.6m in length, was designed by Ron Holland and built in Penryn, Cornwall in the United Kingdom. Departs: 1.00pm Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday Returns: 11.00am Thursday, Saturday and Monday

Broomstick - 2 Days / 2 Nights

Broomstick was built in South Africa to win the Cape Town to Rio Yacht Race. From there she went on to compete in many of the world’s most famous blue water events including the Sydney to Hobart. As a true Maxi, she is big, comfortable and very fast. She finished racing in 2000 and was converted to charter in 2001 – but beware! Her racing spirit still remains. Departs: 1.00pm Saturday, Monday and Wednesday Returns: 11.00am Monday, Wednesday and Friday

Hammer - 2 Days / 1 Night

Hammer is a 22.5m Maxi yacht that is indeed a true Australian yachting legend. Hammer was designed by Kel Steinman and owned and campaigned by Arthur Bloore. Throughout her racing career Hammer competed in many blue water events and was best known for her five consecutive placings in the world famous Sydney to Hobart, including line honours in the 50th Anniversary of the event. Now taking 22 guests on a compact 2 day 1 night trip around the Whitsundays. Help the crew and grind the winches or relax on deck and soak up the sun. Snorkel, visit Whithaven Beach and enjoy the ride. Departs/Returns: 10am. Hammer departs on every even day of the month. For example, Hammer departs on the 4th of the month, and returns on the 5th, or depart on the 6th and return on the 7th.
