One night bookings are welcome at any time at Ashcroft Country Accommodation at McLaren Vale, even on long weekends, Easter, Christmas and on local festivals. In addition, the home has been designed to cater for guests with physical disabilities, and they also welcome families. French is spoken, as well as the disparate American, British and Australian forms of English.

Ashcroft offers great traditionally hosted B&B accommodation - you will be greeted with afternoon tea on arrival, there's a choice of five different rooms (each opening onto their own patio or balcony) and then there's the legendary Ashcroft breakfasts. This is the full "you beaut" deal. Apart from the continental buffet, on offer are muffins, fruit smoothies, kippers, real porridge, smoked salmon with scrambled eggs . the list goes on!

Accommodation
Ashcroft Country Accommodation offers accommodation that will appeal to everyone.

Each guest room in the spacious air-conditioned home contains an ensuite bathroom with overhead heaters and "Hollywood" style lighting, queen and/or twin beds, a colour television and clock radio, coffee and tea making facilities, a bar fridge, electric blanket, hair dryer and its own intimate private terrace complete with umbrella, table and chairs.

Gretta, the main room has been specially designed to cater for guests with physical disabilities and provides ample space for wheelchairs.

Breakfast includes
A selection of cereals, breads, juices, fruits and jams. Plus muffins, yoghurt, nuts and seasonal specials, as well as a choice of herbal and leaf teas, and plunger coffee.

For the big eater you can also have a cooked breakfast including: Porridge Kippers Poached or Scrambled eggs Bacon Sausage Tomatoes Mushrooms Baked beans

Special dietary requirements are also catered for (i.e. soy milk, vegetarian and sugar substitutes).
Note: Only free range eggs and extra virgin cold pressed olive oil are used in cooking.

Activities
There are many and varied activities to be enjoyed whilst staying at 'Ashcroft': the main ones of course are to sample wines from the internationally renowned cellars that surround us, and eat at the many fine restaurants in the area.

Other pursuits that may be undertaken are cycling along the picturesque, designated cycle paths through the valley vineyards and bush-walking. And the wide sandy beaches of the Fleurieu Peninsula are only a few minutes drive away.
