Shayla Cruises is based in Hervey Bay on the Fraser Coast (Queensland, Australia), gateway to the World Heritage listed, "Fraser Island" – the world's largest sand island, Whale Watch capital of the world and one of the most untouched, protected and serine aquatic playgrounds in Australia.

The Vessel Shayla is a 10.5m by 6.5m 'Seawind 1050 Resort' purpose-built sailing catamaran, with a wide stable deck and a covered seating area for 30 passengers. Though primarily a sailing boat, Shayla is equipped with two quiet, low emission 20hp Honda 4 stroke engines for those really calm days. The boat is very roomy, extremely stable, fully licensed and equipped with a galley, household toilets and even a BBQ on the back deck. Shayla is well appointed with everything you need to sail in comfort and style. On the bow there are trampolines - perfect for lazing about, whilst the more adventurous can climb/jump/dive into the boom net off the back for some extreme fun. Your Hosts
Your hosts, owners and operators are Brent and Amanda Milne - both grew up in Hervey Bay and are now raising their own children, Elle and Noah, here by the sea. Brent and Amanda have an affinity with the sea, through diving, surfing, skiing and of course boating and now wish to share their passion with you aboard Shayla.

Brent is a Master Class 4 skipper with more than 12 years experience at the helm of fast catamarans on Fraser Island transfers, whale watch tours and other operations. Amanda is experienced in public relations and operates all bookings and advertising and generally keeps things ship-shape and running smoothly.

Note: the vessel is named after Brent's great grandmother, Ada Maria Cruice, who was affectionately known as Shayla. This tribute to her acknowledges the heritage which has enabled Brent and Amanda to share their passion with you.
