There are so many things visitors can do and see in this area. The Barossa
is famous for its gourmet food and fine wines, it really is a shame not to
spend at least several days here so you can see and experience some of South
Australia's loveliest countryside. Ideally, make Marble Lodge your "base"
for a few days, consider taking day trips to Clare Valley (another wine district 1 hour away), historic Burra (2 hours) or to the areas of
irrigated oranges, stone fruits and vines of the Riverland (1 hour).
Location
Marble Lodge is located only 79 kilometres (just over an hours drive) from
the Adelaide CBD.
Bus services are available to/from Adelaide at a reasonable cost, are clean
and efficient, and run regularly to the Barossa Valley several times a day.
We can book your ticket if you so desire.
For those not wanting to drive themselves, packages are available including
a Full Day Tour of the "Best of the Barossa" including visits to Wineries,
sights, and interesting locations. You have a choice of luxury
air-conditioned "people movers" with capacity for up to two couples and
their luggage. The Tour Guides live in the Barossa Valley, and have an
in-depth knowledge of the area, so you can get the most from your visit.
