Peppers Convent has set a benchmark for boutique accommodation in the Hunter Valley. This is a small guesthouse with only 17 rooms, offering guests that personal touch only a smaller guesthouse can provide. Throughout, the retreat is furnished and decorated in an opulent, baroque style. The lounge is a plush, gilded salon furnished with antique armchairs and couches.

Deluxe Rooms are spacious and configured with a Queen size bed, enveloped in dreamy netting, and a classical, country-style décor to add that touch of romance. The rooms open onto verandahs and each Deluxe Room features a deep bath in the bathroom.

Superior Rooms are elegant King sized rooms with a private lounge area. French doors open onto the deep verandahs from which you can enjoy the surrounding vineyard views. Most bathrooms contain a deep bath.

The formal gardens merge from vineyards to secret spots where you can curl up with a book, with the splashing of the fountain in the background.

Peppers Convent is located at the Pepper Tree Complex, a short stroll from the Pepper Tree Winery and Tasting Barn, and the renowned Roberts Restaurant. Peppers Convent Hunter Valley serves a full country breakfast each morning in the sunroom. The breakfast consists of seasonal fruit, pastries, yoghurt, fresh fruit juice, breakfast puddings and hot breakfasts cooked to order. Breakfast is served from 8.00am to 10.00am. Each evening pre-dinner drinks and canapés are served in the Guest Lounge from 6.30pm. Peppers Convent does not serve evening meals. However, the award-winning Roberts Restaurant located nearby is open daily for lunch and dinner. Here the chef weaves his magic with local produce supported by a wide selection of fine Hunter Valley Wines. Conferences, Weddings and Special Events The Chapel, a renovated Welsh Baptist Church dating back to 1888, is located a short stroll from Peppers Convent and seats up to 45 delegates theatre style, 30 delegates classroom style and 20-25 delegates in U-shape. They also provide full business services and on-site leisure and team building activities, as well as special events and themes. Peppers Convent, Hunter Valley can also provide an Outdoor Cinema at the end of a long day of conferencing. Peppers Convent is situated just past Cessnock and accessed via the Sydney-Newcastle Expressway turning off at the Branxton-Singleton road. Transfer options include scheduled flights between Sydney and nearby Maitland, by coach or limousine.
