This superb property, on a working cattle farm, is unique. Chalet Arunga is part bed and breakfast and part self contained. This is a five star chalet with a difference- offering stylish interiors, original artworks, fresh flowers and a fantastic view across the property. The chalet's extensive garden seems to flow into the paddocks because there are no fences to keep the cattle out, just a single electric wire fence- one of the reasons the chalet is not available to families with children.

Accommodation at Chalet Arunga
One of the first things which strikes you as you walk into Chalet Arunga is the tasteful interior decoration and the beauty of the many fresh floral arrangements and the unusual painted finish on the floors.

There are two queen sized bedrooms, each with an ensuite. The one upstairs occupies an entire mezzanine floor and has treetop views of sweeping paddocks and nearby granite outcrops and stands of timber. Rooms are screened, offer an open fire place and are fitted with quality linen, electric blankets and an iron and ironing board for your convenience.

The big potbelly stove downstairs heats the whole chalet if the weather gets chilly. There is a small kitchen which is fully equipped with all modern amenities including microwave oven. A variety of teas, ground coffee and milk are supplied and you will find some welcoming treats in the refrigerator.

Relax in the very comfortable lounge room to watch the television, video or DVD. Wake in the mornings to the sounds of extensive bird life, breakfast in a delightful conservatory with its own courtyard, overlooking the cottage garden, grazing cattle and kangaroos. Tariff includes a gourmet continental breakfast, home made bread, cake, some provisions, teas and coffee.

Chalet Arunga is a non-smoking establishment. A barbecue area is provided for guest use and is an ideal spot for entertaining friends.

Nearby to Chalet Arunga
Five minutes away, is Cosy Corner Beach and the adjacent West Cape Howe National Park, which includes part of the Bibbulmun Track and some spectacular cliffs and bays.

Torbay is an area rather than a town. It was originally a site for timber milling and there was some whaling at Cosy Corner. There is still a fishing camp at the beach in summer. It is an area which has been neglected in the rush to develop around Albany and Denmark but which is starting to come into its own.
