In winter, Perisher Valley has 30 interconnecting ski lifts, over 100 ski instructors, extensive snow making facilities, and a wide range of accommodation options to suit all budgets. Sundeck Hotel is unique and is Australia’s highest hotel with just 36 rooms. Just imagine the snow is literally at your feet and the ski runs below you.
The Sundeck Hotel is suitable for couples and families alike and children are very welcome and can enjoy the snow activities closeby while you watch from the balcony.
You ski right out from the Sundeck across the top of the half-pipe, through the trees and then down to the bottom of the chairlifts to start your day skiing. Just great!!!
Accommodation
Accommodation at Sundeck Hotel is very comfortable and rooms can cater for 2, 3 or 4 people. The ground floor rooms can be below the snow line during heavy snow falls or mountain view rooms are on the second floor and offer awesome panoramic views.
The rooms are hotel style and rates include all you can eat breakfasts and a large 3 course a la carte meal at night in the hotel restaurant. Lunch is available if you return to the hotel during the day. All rooms are supplied with quality linen and feature a private ensuite, central heating, hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Cots are available on request.

Each night the snow ploughs groom the front slopes of Perisher Valley and you can watch them from the Sundeck lounge or bar area at Sundeck Hotel. If you want to party and stay up late the bar is well stocked, particularly with Schnapps and Australia wines! Entertainment is varied though some of Australia's leading comedians and musicians perform apres skiing or nightly in the bar.
At Perisher Blue it is important for us to provide you with the ultimate snow experience. The flip side of staying in on-snow accommodation is all about winding down the way you like to. Whether it is a romantic candlelight dinner, casual conversation in an intimate lounge, or dancing in a high energy nightclub, Perisher Blue has something for everyone. At Sundeck Hotel all weekly bookings receive free oversnow transport (before 11.00pm). This establishment is open for the winter season from June to October only. Child rates are available for family bookings.

Getting To Perisher Blue
Getting to Perisher Blue is easy. You can fly, drive or coach and we can arrange it all for you.
DRIVING to Perisher Blue: Perisher Blue is an easy 5½ to 6 hour drive from Sydney or 7 hours from Melbourne with half the distance on freeway standard roads. From Jindabyne access by road to Perisher, Smiggins and Guthega is via the Kosciusko Road, with snow chains required to be carried by all vehicles past the National Park entrance. It’s an easy half hour drive from Jindabyne in good weather.

SKITUBE Information: Skitube has become by far the most popular way of getting to and from the snow. Because the Bullocks Flat Terminal is well below the normal snow line, and only 20km from Jindabyne, it’s an easy drive. From here frequent train services run to Perisher and on to Blue Cow. Coach services run morning and evening between Jindabyne and Bullocks Flat. Your Skitube Pass includes the National Park Use Fee.
FLYING to Perisher Blue: The nearest commercial airport is Canberra. Coach transfers from Canberra are available.
