The Chalet features a large encompassing lounge room, a mesmerising log fire and fully licensed bar. There is a games room with a variety of activities, television room with free to air and satellite, heated indoor pool, steam room and gymnasium. Hearty mountain breakfasts and delicious three course dinners are served in the relaxed atmosphere of our dining room.

Sponars Chalet Kids Club
The very reasonable children's tariff (3-14 years) includes supervised activities from 6-9pm Sunday to Thursday. A weekly programme of activities is arranged, including fancy dress, fireworks, toasting marshmallows, talent quests and much more.

Meals designed to please the pre-teens are served at a separate, supervised dinner sitting as part of our evening kids club. This is a great way for children to meet new friends and discuss the days excitement or plan the activities for tomorrow.

Equipment Hire
Enjoy the convenience of easy access to a well stocked ski hire store. We pride ourselves on the advice, attention and care given to all guests using Sponars ski hire. Entertainment
Sponars Chalet offers a wide variety of entertainment to make your stay with us even more enjoyable. Through the week we have regular theme nights, eg Mexican, Italian, Crazy Hat night, Five Course Feast night, Wine Tastings, occasional live music, Table Tennis and Pool competitions and Musical evenings around the pianola.

Sponars holds its own ski race for guests mid week and this is a popular event. All guests are encouraged to participate and experience the thrill of skiing the red and blue gates (maybe for the first time!), the fun of watching yourself on video in the evening and the pride of winning a gold, silver or bronze medal. For those who want a quiet time, there's plenty of space to read a book or have a chat, a television lounge with Cable Television and a Children’s Games Room.

Welcome Party - Every Sunday Sponars hold a welcome part for our new arrivals. Treat yourself to our complimentary hors d'oeuvres and gluwein - the warm red wine drink of the mountains. This is your chance to chat to a Perisher Blue ski instructor to gain some local knowledge, skiing tips or just answers to your snow holiday questions.

Getting to Perisher Valley and Sponars Chalet
Perisher Blue is an easy 5½ to 6 hour drive from Sydney or 7 hours from Melbourne with half the distance on freeway standard roads. From Jindabyne access by road to Sponars Chalet is via the Kosciuszko Road, with snow chains required to be carried by all vehicles past the National Park entrance.

If flying into Canberra either a bus transfer or private limousine will transfer you the 3 hr trip to the snowfields. Coach services also run between Sydney, Canberra and the ski fields at regular intervals during the winter season.
