Winter
For the cross-country and ski touring skiers, the Bogong High Plains offer some of the most beautiful mountain scenery anywhere. Come along on the only dog sled tours in the southern hemisphere. Enjoy the magic of the spectacular Falls Creek scenery as you glide down through 10 km of snow gum trails, with no sound but the "woosh " of a team of 8 purebred Alaskan Malamuts and Siberian Huskies.

Snowmobile tours, drive yourself, double up with a friend or guide, and travel through snow covered trees, as you climb to view the beautiful scenery of the Bogong High Plains.

For those who wish to take things more quietly, we have got a winter experience for you! Snow shoe walks through snow, exploring the many beautiful alpine plants and creatures. Experience the downhill rush on a toboggan readily available for hire. Of course, Bogong Village and Mt Beauty offer the Falls Creek guest a range of off-mountain alternatives.

Summer
Enjoy the magic of Victoria's High Country in summer. Spectacular scenery, a wide range of activities and events combine through the summer months to provide a cool climate getaway. While others struggle with the heat of summer, at Falls Creek (1500m above sea level) the temperatures rarely exceed 25C.

Falls Creek is a nature lover's paradise. Roam through an alpine herb meadow, join a guided tour, fish in one of Pretty Valley's secluded rock pools, or canoe, sail or water-ski on scenic Rocky Valley dam, just a short walk from the village. For Tennis lovers book one of the three Supergrass courts in the village bowl right at Falls Creek.

Halleys Comet Chairlift rides offer magnificent views and has facilities to carry your Mountain Bikes. Falls Creek also boasts some of the very best alpine walking tracks. Nature enthusiasts and hikers, of all standards, can take advantage of the many clearly marked walking trails around the village. A short drive into the Bogong area of the Alpine National Park can provide enthusiasts with additional tracks for you to experience.

Getting to Kilimanjaro Ski Apartments
Driving to Falls Creek -The Bogong High Plains Road is regularly cleared of snow, making it one of the most user-friendly alpine roads within Australia with breathtaking scenery along the way. Carrying wheel chains is essential when driving to Falls Creek and it's also a good idea to ensure that your radiator has an anti-freeze solution added to prevent the engine freezing in cold temperatures.

Drive/Coach Alternative - Drive to Mt Beauty and leave your car in Pyle's Coaches secure parking. Then board a heated coach; relax, sit back and appreciate the beauty of the Alps as you are driven by expert drivers right to the Oversnow Transport Terminal. Several services depart for Falls Creek each day of the week, and friendly staff will ensure a hassle free start to your ski holiday.

Train/Coach Alternative - Countrylink operates from Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and regional NSW, using the speedy XPT or XPLORER trains to Albury. A coach makes regular stops here for connections.

The Coach/Air Alternative - Pyle's Coaches have daily services to/from Melbourne and Albury. Departing from Spencer Street Coach Terminal in the heart of Melbourne or Melbourne Airport why not leave the car behind and enjoy the relaxing coach ride all the way to Falls Creek.

Over snow Transport - When you arrive in Falls Creek during winter, the roads in the Falls Creek Village are used as ski trails to the Lodges and Lifts and are closed to normal vehicles. Proceed to the Oversnow Terminal (also the coach depot), you can then arrange for an Oversnow Taxi to transport you to Kilimanjaro Apartments.
