Unlike the other locations in the Kosciuszko area, Thredbo Village is legitimately an all year resort. This delightful township, located below the snowline on the Alpine Way 97 km from Cooma, 498 km from Sydney and 1370 m above sea level, is as close as Australia will ever get to a genuine alpine settlement. The chalets, the narrow winding streets, the skiing and bracing 'mountain walks' all contribute to the unique ambience and feeling, that this is like no other town in Australia.

Accommodation at Bernti’s
All rooms are light and spacious and most offer a superb mountain view. Bernti’s Mountain Inn offers a range of twin and double rooms as well as four 2 bedroom family suites with kitchenettes.

2 Bedroom Suite - Maximum occupancy is 5 people. The apartments have a double bed in one room and two or three single beds in the other. It also includes its own kitchenette for ease of self catering.

Mountain View Room - All these style rooms come with a king size bed or twin beds. Maximum occupancy in these rooms is 2 people. The Mountain View Room has beautiful mountain views over the ski slopes of Thredbo.

Standard Rooms - All standard rooms come with a double bed or twin beds. Maximum occupancy in these rooms is 2 people.

Most rooms include king size beds and all beds are dressed with fine linen. Each room has an ensuite bathroom, telephone, television, bar fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. For your convenience Bernti’s also offers a ski storage area and drying room to store that damp attire at the end of the day. Note: At Bernti’s Mountain Inn rates in the 2 bedroom suites are based on room only all year round. However, in summer season the Mountain View room and Standard room are also booked as room only whereas in the winter season the rooms come packaged to include a full skiers cooked breakfast and dinner. There is luggage storage available and use of communal showers can be arranged if you are skiing on checkout day. Bernti's Mountain Inn has limited off-street parking and we work on a "first in" policy. There is free overnight parking available next to the leisure centre as you come into the village and guests wishing to use their car during their stay are advised to park in the overnight car park. While staying at Bernti’s Mountain Inn you have no reason to venture out in to the cold, instead stay in and enjoy the best mountain views in Thredbo while you dine. Getting to Bernti’s Mountain Inn
If you are travelling by car to the ski fields-Thredbo is situated 30 minutes from Jindabyne along The Alpine Way. Bernti’s is located in Mowamba Place which is left off the main street after the service station and next to supermarket.

Thredbo's closest airports are in Cooma and Canberra. Cooma is connected to Thredbo by shuttle service and is an hour. Canberra is two and a half hours away and you can get to Thredbo by bus, snow limo or hire car (only in summer).
