Opened December 2005 and located on The Esplanade, Pier One Resort offers boutique beachfront accommodation for the honeymooners or discerning holiday maker wanting a relaxing luxury getaway. We have 17 holiday apartments -fully self contained two and three bedroom in configuration, uniquely furnished with high quality stunning interior décor, granite benchtops and European kitchen appliances. The Pier One complex is absolutely first class with its own tropical swimming pool, games room, gymnasium and barbecue facilities for guest use. It's the perfect place to unwind and is a non-smoking complex. On leaving Pier One we know you will be taking great memories of the wonderful views over turquoise waters from your balcony, of waking up to the sound of the rolling surf and of days spent in the warm sunshine beachfront on the Fraser Coast. At Pier One Resort we have a choice of Two Bedroom Luxury, Three Bedroom Luxury Apartments and our Deluxe Three Bedroom 'Mini Penthouse' apartment. Deluxe Three Bedroom Apartment - This is the perfect apartment for couples travelling together, large families or small groups. Sleeping maximum eight persons, the main and third bedrooms offer Queen size beds with two sets of bunk beds in bedroom two. The master bedroom has its own ensuite complete with spa bath. The fully equipped state of the art kitchen is complete with stainless steel appliances, whilst the spacious open plan living areas are furnished with high quality leather lounges and a large screen television. The view of Shelly Beach, Hervey Bay, the Urangan Pier and Fraser Island from the balcony is nothing short of spectacular. Luxury Three Bedroom Apartment - Unit One, Pier One is a luxury three bedroom apartment. The main and second bedroom offer Queen size beds with two single beds in bedroom two and a sofa in bedroom three. The main bedroom has an ensuite whilst bedroom three has access to a rear courtyard. This spacious apartment has an open plan designer kitchen with ultra modern appliances, leather lounge, large screen television and home theatre, separate laundry and a spa in the main ensuite. Situated on the Ground Floor, this apartment has a large balcony overlooking Shelly Beach and Hervey Bay, offers easy access the pool and is a perfect family apartment. Luxury Two Bedroom Apartment - The two bedroom apartments are located on higher floors offering spectacular views to Fraser Island and Hervey Bay from the living areas and master bedroom. The master bedroom has a Queen sized bed with two single beds in bedroom two which can be zipped together to form a King bed making this style of apartment ideal for couples travelling together. The master bedroom has an ensuite complete with a spa bath. This spacious apartment has a separate kitchen with ultra modern appliances, open plan separate lounge and dining areas complete with home theatre and large screen television, separate laundry and large balcony overlooking Shelly Beach, Hervey Bay, the Urangan Pier and Fraser Island. Activities from Pier One Resort
For those who just want a relaxing break, Hervey Bay still has the laid back atmosphere where time almost stands still. For those who want some action, Hervey Bay is a wonderful holiday destination offering many activities.

• One, two or three day tours to World Heritage listed Fraser Island, the largest sand island in the world. It is easily accessible by a short catamaran cruise across the Great Sandy Straits.

• Day trips or stay over on Lady Elliot Island, the southern most coral cay of the Great Barrier Reef. A 35 minute scenic flight away.

• Whale Watching - from mid July to early November, the magnificent Humpback whales migrate south and they venture in to their playground, the sheltered waters of Hervey Bay. They share the Bay with dolphins, turtles and dugongs. Tours in modern purpose built catamarans or yachts.

• There are several golf courses and bowling clubs to choose from.

• The beautiful swimming beach is on our doorstep and bordering it along the Esplanade is 14km of cycling and walking track. Bikes are available for hire.

• Abundant water sports include coral viewing, fishing, snorkelling, sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, parasailing, and jet skiing.

Getting to Hervey Bay - Pier One Resort
Driving: Hervey Bay is a comfortable 3½ hour drive north of Brisbane, 265km from Brisbane Airport and 2½ hour drive from the Sunshine Coast. Travel north on the Bruce Highway and exit at Maryborough. Driving south, Hervey Bay is a 4 hour drive from Rockhampton on the Bruce Highway, exit at Howard/Torbanlea.

Flying: Fraser Coast Airport is the local airport at Hervey Bay. Jetstar and Virgin Blue Airlines operate direct jet services from Sydney and Qantas Link operates from Brisbane with convenient connections from most Australian capital cities. A Hervey Bay Shuttles coach meets each flight.

Hire Car: Budget, Avis, Hertz and Europecar operate from the Hervey Bay airport. (We recommend you pre-book with your accommodation package)

Train: Queensland Rail’s Tilt Train offers fast, comfortable travel south to Brisbane and north to Cairns, stopping at Maryborough West Rail Station for a link to Hervey Bay. A Trainlink coach) provides a transfer to and from our accommodation.

Coach: Suntours and Greyhound operate several coach transfers to and from Brisbane daily.
