Rawnsley Park Station - Woolshed Restaurant
Shearing time becomes part of the lunchtime show at the Woolshed Restaurant when diners work up an appetite watching others work. After the work is done, it's only a short walk across the woolshed to the restaurant.

The pepper trees provide shade around the homestead, while the peppercorn’s are picked to become the spicy ‘bushy’ ingredient for the head chef’s plum sauce served with tender fillet of kangaroo. With views to Rawnsley's Bluff and the sheep dogs going through their paces below, the balcony is the ideal place to enjoy some classic ‘bush tucker’ at the Woolshed Restaurant.

Rawnsley Park Woolshed is open 7 days a week (Mar-Nov) and Wed-Sun (Dec and Jan) for lunch and dinner: Lunch 12pm – 2pm Dinner 6:30pm – late. N.B. Closed in February.

Activities at Rawnsley Park include - mountain biking, marked bush walking trails, 4WD tours, aboriginal culture, shearing demos, guided horse riding treks or scenic flights with Central Air Services (additional cost). ‘The Pound’ presents from the ground as rugged but otherwise unremarkable low-lying hillock, perfect for bushwalking with a summit fairly easily attained- but then crest the hill and behold the almost perfectly formed natural amphitheatre beyond. Fossils can be seen at nearby Brachina Goerge, Aboriginal paintings at Arkaroo Rock, rock carvings at Sacred Canyon and Chambers Gorge, and the flinders themselves never fail to delight.

If relaxation is more your thing, you can take a dip in our swimming pool, enjoy a leisurely meal at the Woolshed Restaurant or gather your friends around a camp bonfire. The service town of Hawker, home to heritage buildings, banking, hospital and several galleries, is a 20-minute drive away while, further south, the town of Quorn is home to the Pichi Richi steam railway.

PLEASE NOTE: There is no mobile phone reception at Rawnsley Park Station (except CDMA phones), however mobiles can be used in Hawker, 30-kilometres south. Internet access is available at the Caravan Park shop, and a public phone is located near reception and at the Caravan Park.
