As your Hot Air balloon gently lifts off, enjoy the picturesque landscape with 30 minutes flying time to breathe in the wide-open spaces! See kangaroos, wallabies, cockatoos, galahs and local wildlife from your balloon, one of the best times of the day, to see Australian animals in the wild.

05.00am - (approx) - Pick-up at hotel by a Hot Air Cairns coach for your hot air balloon flight, one hour transfer, pickup times confirmed on booking.
06.30am - Experience the fun and unique sensation of being in a hot air balloon flying gently high above the Atherton Tablelands, Australia. The balloon takes off from Mareeba in the Cairns Highlands (previously called the Atherton Tablelands). Enjoy the picturesque landscape at sunrise, enjoy 30 or 60* minutes flying time. Breathe in the wide-open spaces! We have Australia's largest fleet of hot air balloons and a fun and highly trained crew to maximise the fun of your balloon flight.
*60 Minute Flight Note: taken as two separate balloon flights of 30 minutes one directly after the other travelling further not back across the same countryside so see more of Mareeba and the Atherton Tablelands.
08.00am - Return and landing, hot air balloon pack-up and lots of laughs.
08.30am - Come down to earth and enjoy champagne, fresh juices, eggs and bacon, tropical fruits and a hot and cold buffet is all yours as you relax in the serenity of the Australian bush.
Port Douglas breakfast will be taken in Port Douglas unless nominated in advance. Choice of hot dishes, coffee, juices and the adventure will finish approx 10am.
10.00am - Return transfers to your accommodation, or other places around town. Just let us know where you would like to go or which tour you would like to connect to (In advance of the day of travel).
Suggestion
It's a great fit in your itinerary to be able to take your balloon flight on the same day as a trip to the Outer Great Barrier Reef or maybe an Island Day out to Green Island. We guarantee a connection to either daily directly after your hot air balloon trip with us.

Hot Air is pleased to announce that we have the latest pickup time and earliest return time of any balloon company from Port Douglas. More time for you! Quoted rates do include a compulsory additional levy.
Return transfers to your hotel or resort are provided at the end of the morning. Your balloon tour finishes at approximately 0945am and does connect with many reef and rainforest tours.
