Down Under Cruise and Dive teamed up with local helicopter company, Down Under Helicopters, to provide our valued customers with greater freedom and choice for tour options. With the use of an exclusive helicopter pontoon on the Outer Reef, cruise clients have the opportunity to complete their reef experience by enjoying a scenic helicopter flight.
Down Under Helicopters fly passengers daily to their vessels located on the outer Great Barrier Reef. Choose a Fly/Reef/Dive/Cruise package to combine the ultimate Reef adventure. You can enjoy the diverse marine and aquatic life visible from below the surface then combine this with the enormous scope and larger marine life and colours best visible from an easily manoeuvrable helicopter.
Down Under Dive “Learn to Dive” courses are conducted at our exclusive modern five star training facility in Cairns before completing the dives on the Reef.
Down Under Cruise and Dive carefully selects its Dive spots. These areas are selected to be free of strong currents. Water temperatures range from 24 degrees Celsius in Winter to 30 degrees Celsius in Summer. Underwater visibility is typically 10 to 20 metres.

To ensure you have the opportunity to experience all the treasures of North Queensland, Down Under Dive have combined with specialised local tour operators to offer you a choice to visit Cape Tribulation, The Daintree, Kuranda, Tully River and Barron River during your stay. For the adventurous, you can choose an action adventure to get the adrenalin pumping.
Down Under Dive - Tour Packages
Down Under Dive have combined some of the best activities in the Tropical North to ensure ease of booking for all clients. On most packages the order the tour is taken can be changed to suit your holiday itinerary as each is a separate Day Tour activity.
It is possible to take a rest day between tours or add an additional experience to a package. Just ask us! Booking well ahead in conjunction with your accommodation will avoid disappointment as numbers are limited on some of the activities.
