Getting to Akama Resort
Getting here is easy, just a picturesque 3.5 hour drive North on the Bruce highway from Brisbane and 2½ hours North from the Sunshine Coast. You can arrive by car, train, bus and plane. Transfers to Hervey Bay can be arranged by us with your accommodation booking.

By Car: Driving in from Maryborough, you'll find yourself entering Hervey Bay on Boat Harbour Drive. Continue along this road for approximately 15 kilometres - you will pass Urangan Central Shopping Centre on your left hand side. Continue straight through the roundabout for one kilometre, turn left at the intersection onto the Esplanade. Akama Resort is on the next left corner at the Miller Street roundabout.

By Rail: Queensland Rail runs a tilt train service from far north Queensland to Brisbane. Your station will be the historic Maryborough where a bus will make the final 36kms of your journey to your luxury Resort accommodation.

By Plane: Flights arrive daily direct from Brisbane, Sydney and soon from Melbourne and a shuttle service or taxi will take you the short ride from the Fraser Coast Airport to Akama Resort.
