On arrival you are greeted by your hosts and complimentary wine and chocolates await you in your spacious, airy suite. The nightly rate includes a full traditional sumptuous breakfast each morning. For that special occasion a private dinner party can be arranged if requested for an additional fee.
Adagio Bed and Breakfast is a modern pole structured house, perfectly situated just 30 metres through the natural low saltbush vegetation from the pristine beach. Although under one roof, Adagio has been specifically designed to ensure your studio apartment offers totally independent living. Access is via a private front staircase leading up from the under cover car park.
The open plan interior of the Adagio apartment is beautifully fitted with a queen sized bed boasting high quality linen, stylish timber furniture, chrome features, all complemented with delicate touches of brown, cream and beige. The ensuite bathroom is simple in style and design, with high quality bath towels supplied.
The full frontal sliding glass doors create the free flowing effect of allowing the outside in, whilst inside looking out. The large wooden verandah boasts comfy chairs for you to sit and relax with a glass of wine while taking in the awesome beach and water views. You will also find a barbecue on the deck for your use- to enjoy dinner- the Australian way.

Island Beach is noted as one of the best beaches on Kangaroo Island. You can enjoy peaceful surrounds and expect to be alone except for the Pelicans and other sea birds. It is a short 15 minute drive from the Sealink ferry terminal at Penneshaw to the beautiful, secluded and totally private Island River and Adagio. If arriving by flight you will land in Kingscote and can hire a car (just ask us) for the drive to Island River or we can arrange a pickup for you. Adagio is off the highway but it is well sign posted on the country lane right to our beachfront location.
