Specifications: Maxi Boomerang, designed by German Frers, and built in Italy is a sloop design, 83ft in length, 20ft wide, built of high tech Carbon Fibre with a mast extending 110ft above the deck.

The Vessel: The boat is huge downstairs and open plan, some of the many features include headroom throughout higher than 6ft, 3 dining tables, 3 toilets and showers. Specifications: Siska was designed by German Frers of Argentina and built in Perth Western Australia of 10mm thick Aluminium, weighing 32 tonnes, is 80ft long and has a single mast is 106 feet high. Siska arrived in the Whitsundays in 1992 and is now one of the most comfortable Maxi Charter Yachts sailing the Whitsunday waters.

The Vessel: Siska has a myriad of winches and sailing gear and guests are encouraged to assist sail Siska, including hoisting and trimming sails, or taking the helm to steer her around the islands. Siska has ample head room throughout the yacht for our taller guests. Two dining tables provide plenty of space for guests to enjoy meals together. This saloon area also doubles as a comfortable sitting area. On deck there is ample space for guests to relax, and we have a boom awning for shade when we are anchored.

Race History: During her racing career Siska won races in Australia, England, Fiji, Germany, Hawaii, Hong Kong, New Zealand and South Africa.

If you are after an adrenalin sailing experience on a huge maxi then 'British Defender' is perfect. This yacht is fast. Of an evening there is likely to be a party on the deck. British Defender won the 2001 and 2004 Whitsunday Fun Race and placed 2nd in the 2002 event.

Race History: Defender was raced by the British armed services in the 1990 in the around the World Race. The racing background will ensure a tour aboard British Defender will be an exciting experience.

If you are after an adventure on a famous Americas Cup Yacht with a smaller group of people then 'Southern Cross' is perfect. Southern Cross had a new interior refit and new exterior painting in August 2006.

Specifications: Southern Cross was designed by Australia’s famous yacht designer Ben Lexcen and built by Perth entrepreneur Alan Bond for the Americas Cup. Built in Perth, Western Australia of aluminium, weighing 32 tonnes with a single mast which is 97 feet high. Southern Cross was built to the Americas Cup 12 metre rule specification and is 68 feet in length.

The Vessel: Whitsunday Charters Southern Cross's conversion to an overnight charter vessel was extensive and included new cockpits, new coach roof, new diesel engine and cabin fit out downstairs to make her into a comfortable yacht for overnight sailing charters.

Southern Cross has single berths and three double berths. All double berths have curtains for privacy. Southern Cross provides 3 day 2 night sailing adventures in the Whitsundays. 'Turning Back Time in the Whitsundays'.

This provides guests with the opportunity to experience:
a 2 Day / 1 Night Maxi Sailing experience, or
a 2 Day / 2 Night Maxi Sailing experience,
followed by a 3 day / 3 night Tall Ship Experience on Solway Lass.

The 4 Night Package starts Monday or Friday at 8:30am on the 2 Day 1 Night Maxi Sailing Experience, then at 4:30pm on Day 2 you transfer your belongings to Solway Lass, and at 7.30pm on Day 2 you depart aboard Solway Lass for a 3 night Tall Ship tour of the Whitsundays.

The 5 Night Package starts Sunday or Thursday at 2:00pm on the 2 Day 2 Night Maxi Sailing Experience, returning to Airlie Beach at 11am on Day 3. This allows you a few hours to check-out Airlie Beach, maybe enjoy some time at the Lagoon, then at 7:30pm on Day 3 you depart aboard Solway Lass for a 3 night Tall Ship tour.
